  1. Thank you that wS a useful video, however I really like your recipes they are very good and helpful and so are some of the comments. I’ve been on Keto for 8 weeks now and always follow people like yourself for great recipes, thank you again.

Thank you for a useful video. Your technique helped me get my Dash mini clean after making a mess misjudging the amount of batter to pour in for a chaffle.

    • Have you seen Keto Twins. 1/8 cup for the Dash mini equals perfect size/no mess every time. So glad I stumbled upon them and now this channel.

      Give them a look up.

Do you use a recipe calculator? Which do you like?

  4. Ok, is it me or does he sound like Kacy Kacem? Niiiccce!

  5. The finish my my dash is coming off and therefore chaffles are sticking and turn into a mess. Do you spray your chaffles maker? Does this brush take the finish off?

    • I never spray mine and have never had an issue with anything sticking (I’m assuming due to the fat content). The brush I use has nylon bristles, so it doesn’t take the finish off. If I ever run into that issue with my Dash mini, I’ll like just throw it away and buy a new one for $10.

How do I get cheese out that’s cooked into the inside plates of the DASH mini?

I put a damp paper towel on mine while it’s still hot and unplugged. Close the lid and let the steam do the heavy cleaning. Then wipe with a lightly damp cloth and you got a clean machine.

    Leah,
Spray top and bottom lightly with oil. Or brush it on with a pastry brush. That’s the instruction I’ve seen. And it works for me. (I use a paper towel with a little bit of oil on it.) FYI, I’ve had zero sticking with basic keto chaffles (egg and cheese), as well as chaffle batter containing chocolate candy and freshv berries. I always wipe down the chaffle maker after using whether I see bits of residue or nothing at all. Hope this helps.

  13. Thank you SO much for your cleaning video! I have a different type of maker that uses interchangeable plates for chaffles, stuffed “goodies” like cheese sandwiches and tiny donuts. When you cleaned your chaffle maker, you used the same scraper as I have for my cast iron ware and then you mentioned how you don’t use soap to wash the maker plates. I started having trouble with chaffles sticking in my plates. I will probably “season” my removable plates with some bacon grease for a few times only cleaning with water and see if that helps! Used to cast iron but didn’t think to treat chauffle maker same way.

My little maker (Beria Multi Waffle & Sandwich Maker takes 1/4 cup batter for chaffle,
1/8 cup for donuts. (I still need to find awesome little donut batter)
Best measure for batter? I find my Hamilton Beach levered scoop (model 65) is indispensable! I have many sizes for different purposes. Grandkids chuckle about “grandma’s scoops of mashed potatoes (now mashed cauliflower!) match her muffin amounts!”
My George F Evolve uses 1/2 cup for whole waffle plate that makes 2 waffles at a time.

  14. Do you have a mini waffle recipe? Where do I go to see it ? Not having much luck trying to find your videos !!!

  15. I’m using All Clad waffle makers. I set them in a quarter sheet pan. If I do mess up and get an overflow it is contained in the sheet pan and not all over the counter.
