Went to visit my brother and sister in law for the long weekend.  Promised myself I would stay on target.  First morning my sister in law made muffins  and fresh fruit or breakfast.  Now, to put things in context, they live in Kelowna B.C. which is the heart of the fruit growing area in Western Canada and everything was fresh, ripe and just picked.  They live literally down the street from a peach orchard and about 5 minute from a cherry orchard.  I could stop here and you could surmise the outcome.  Totally out of ketosis and up 4 pounds but OMG.  Sigh, back home and climbing back on the wagon.  Starting over.  Moving on.

I'm up 15 lbs since COVID started, despite not going out of ketosis.  I think some of it could be blamed on cortisol/stress/poor sleep. I think some of it could be blamed on drinking more wine than normal during this period.

Regardless, I need to get back on the horse.  We know how to do it, Don.  We just need to get back at it.

@ketoadmin wine = I drink my carbs.  I love my wine, but not the Covid 15.

@nancy-curtis I was on a Zoom call with the top two guys at Keto Mojo on Thursday.  We all admitted that eating OMAD allowed us to throw a big chunk of our carb count at wine.

I know this equation all too well. My vice isn’t wine but chocolate or ice cream. In New England people eat ice cream year-round. I can go without the fruit, I can go without the pasta or bread but I continuously hear my will succumbing to the call of ice cream.

My weight hasn’t changed but my clothes feel different and I feel squishy. Fortunately I have added 7500 m a day of rowing to my daily physical regimen since moving my office to my house this past month.  Have lots of family struggles happening right now as I reach out to my granddaughter. She’s on the edge of some serious physical damage to herself since her hubs left and took the kiddos. I’m trying to be there for her from 2500 miles away and keep her from the edge of the emotional cliff so to speak. Food and what is on my plate is definitely taking a backseat right now. Send positive energy please.  Your progress motivates me. Your example impacts me for the better. Your keto food ideas and experiments inspire me.

I know your struggle.   I find myself drawn to certain foods and am to often unable, probably unwilling, to resist.
