I am Deanna, an Emerging Adult Therapist specializing in Mental Health & Addictions. I am a former paramedic and health & wellness advisor so ‘health’ in one way or another has been my passion for as long as I can remember through a variety of lenses. I have degrees in English, Biological Psychology, Social Development, Social Work, Human Anatomy, Pathophysiology and Business. I am also Mama-in-Chief to a 13 year old named Sofie Shay who is the greatest joy of my life and a person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (though it is quite invisible to anyone new). For fun I am an advocate for families with children with special needs, I write funding proposals and policy position papers for causes close to my heart as well as screenplays for film, tv show pitches and books under pseudonyms because the thought of doing any sort of press is well outside my comfort zone. With all of that in mind, it may also be obvious that I am a workaholic with chronic insomnia so I might as well fess up to that too.
