The chaffle craze within the low-carb community has been impossible to ignore, and there’s no doubt that Dash has benefited from increased sales of their cute, space-saving waffle makers and griddles. They are wonderful products and I wish they had been around 30 years ago when I was a young, single guy living in an apartment.
As great as the Dash mini products are, what if you have a family to feed? What if you want to make chaffles or waffle in bulk for later reheating? Who has time to make individual waffles at 4-5 minutes apiece?
Enter the Dash No Mess.
The Dash No Mess is really a fantastic waffle maker. The non-stick surface releases chaffles and waffles with ease. I also like that the indentations are not as deep as a Belgian waffle maker’s (this makes it better for chaffles that you will use as bread or a bun). But the big selling feature is the side channel, which catches overflowing batter, cheese, or oil.
I have made multiple batches of chaffles with my Dash No Mess and found it very easy to clean — and the overflow channel means no batter gets stuck on the outside of the waffle maker.
On the downside, the Dash No Mess has a bigger footprint than most waffle makers, however it can be stored upright to save counter space. Also, it would have been nice if the cooking plates could be removed for washing. These are small complaints, though, for an otherwise fantastic waffle maker.

Since this Big Dash makes a larger size chaffle, do you just double or triple your chaffle recipes or is there other “tweaking” to the original 2 chaffle mini-Dash maker recipe?
I find that you need to scale the recipe to about 250% when using the Dash No Mess.

Hi there! Loving your videos. I was interested in the mini waffles as sort of a portion control thing as well. Can you tell me if the square waffles are alot the same size as the round ones (4 inches?)
